This is such a sweet story. Great work! Pinwheels are a simple old block, but still, just as loved as always. When my granddaughter Nora was turning one year old her mom, my daughter Ashley, requested her a queen size pinwheel. I thought she was crazy, but she said she wanted Nora to grow up, with her quilt and she wanted it big, because she didn’t know what size bed Nora would eventually have. Well Nora’s nine now. She’s had the quilt on her bed all these years. She has a trundle bed that’s pretty high from the floor and when she was younger, had to use a step stool to climb in bed. Doesn’t it make you feel good knowing they love quilts as much as we do.

What a lovely feeling, to know how much he has enjoyed the quilt you made him - AND to have him ask you to make another!

I love to hear stories about quilts. Your grandson treasures it! Each time he wraps up in it, he gets a warm hug from you! Great job, Grandma!

Music to my ears, hearing that a quilt has been loved to death by a child growing from infant to preteen. Even better, that he loves it so much he asked for another like it and that you took him with you to the fabric store to pick out fabric. Cool quilt and great memories that you are making together.
