Default FFP on fabric!

Some years ago someone donated me some fabric with pattern for crazy patchwork on it: I found out it was from Benartex, and it lasted long till I tried to use it! I am not so fond of FFP because of the paper you have to remove.... But if you sew on fabric there is no removing of paper!!!
And so I made another pillow cover!

Oh lovely and yes, sewing on fabric is much better than paper you must rip out , teeny tiny piece by piece. Been there, done that.

You only have to tear out the paper if you sew through it. Fold along the stitch line then sew next to the paper fold and you don't have to tear out the paper. This method has been my go to for years!

Ooops! I also like to use Pattern Ease for foundation piecing to when I am using a more complicated design. Pattern Ease is an inexpensive stabilizer for copying dress patterns.

Quiltwoman44, You can stitch through the paper using a regular stitch length, without thread, on the lines and it helps fold the lines or you can simply use card stock and pre fold all the lines before any sewing. I am sure you can find a tutorial online to refresh your memory as I'm certain you have forgotten just maybe misplaced the knowledge. Our brains can only hold so much info. I love what you have done and look forward to seeing more lovely work from you. How ever you decide to make FFP blocks enjoy the process!

I'm not a fan of paper piecing either, but I really like your idea of sewing pieces on fabric. This is a great block and makes a super cute quilt. Nice work!

I like paper piecing as it stabilizes the fabric and I can finally get sharp points. I don't mind taking the paper out. Gives me something to do while watching tv.
