2023 - Birthday Candy Swap (2.5" squares)

Yea! LC82, keep it going. Does pumping the treadle count as steps? Just kidding. If it did we would all be using them. We will just sit back and watch your quilt grow and grow and grow.....
I just finished my Stash Buster blocks this afternoon. Now to assemble the blocks into the top. Not a 2.5 in the whole top. Shame on me. Tee-Hee-Hee!

I just sent out the June Birthday List. I will be away most of the day tomorrow and thought it might be wise to send the list earlier rather than later. Because of the Memorial Day holiday, I am going to get my packages in the mail early, just to be sure they arrive on time. If you got missed, I double checked the list this time, or an address has an error, let me know. I will be on it ASAP.
Have a wonderful weekend whether you are quilting, or gardening or relaxing with friends and family gazing at the beautiful sunsets!

Ladies, you are amazing.
Been busy with other projects. Had time today and sorted all my birthday candies (April 26). Packaging of fabric was interesting. I never even thought to do some of the things you’ve done.
Little extras; stickers, charms, mug rug, special prints cuts, home made cards, comic book pages, wooden flower, drawing of quilting pattern, my name on envelopes, personal notes, word puzzle!!!!!!
Many fabrics were recognized from pictures posted on QB or other trades, Interesting some of the collections from you; type of prints, metallics.
So much fun looking through it all, again, more carefully. Got a second birthday.
Thank you.

Nine-Patch Blocks
I've been making some scrappy nine-patch blocks and found a new way to use them.
Picture 1 - Make nine patches that are all light, and then make contrasting/darker nine patches.
Picture 2 - Cut them in half on the diagonal and mix and match the light and contrasting triangles.
Picture 3 - When you sew the triangles together, some of the points get cut off. Oh No!
Picture 4 - But when you arrange these in a log cabin setting, it doesn't matter. It all looks very scrappy and intentional.

JENNR8R, Genius, pure genius. I am ready to give it a try with some of my stash of 2.5s. You have such a beautiful mix of dark colors, I am absolutely jealous or perhaps I need to be more bold! Thank you for the mini tutorial and new fresh way to put our charming little sweeties to work.
Thank you to those who sent me PMs. Y'all are such good communicators.
