Smile Returning

Thanks for the warm welcome. Since my last post, I’ve finished the Hanging Gardens with free motion but I’ve learnt a big lesson. Handling a full size quilt is really tricky. So I’ll free motion the next one in two halves. That will be my Garden Maze. Nearly finished piecing it, but again as I’m hopeless at maths, I made too many of the X sections! Better than too few I suppose. But I’ll use the extras to lengthen the quilt, so no harm. As it’s the May holiday this weekend, it will be quiet here at home, with no visitors, so I hope to finally get all the sections together ready for quilting. Meanwhile I’ve nearly finished crocheting an Afghan rug in blues and white. I love the complicated stitches, and work on that in the evening listening to audio books on my iPad.
