I have made it twice. It is easy to cut out and sews up easy too. Another great stash buster of FQ quilt pattern is Sweet Sixteen by Black Cat Designs. I bought it when I didn't want to make a third Yellow Brick Road. It isn't quite as easy to cut out, but sews up just as quick.

I made one for my grandson born in Feb 2010, but all in blues.
I will attempt to share it.

Yes, I've made it. But, because I didn't listen to a quilting friend who said to be sure and read all the cutting directions very carefully, I cut it out wrong! The final quilt was beautiful, but definitely not a Yellow Brick Road! I've taken a lot of ribbing about it.

I've made serveral with this pattern; fall colors, christmas patterns and even various Dallas Cowboy prints. It is quick and easy and always comes out looking great!

I finally got the pattern. I don't know how you can tell me it is easy to figure out. I have been staring it for a couple of days now and still don't know where I am going with it. At least I bought the fabric.

Be careful to cut out the number it says for each piece. That's where I tripped up. I didn't turn the page and notice that not all the blocks were the same and that's why I cut all of them out the way I thought it was going to tell me on the next page. I got a little cocky and thought I knew what I was doing. My friend just sat there and watched me. Later she just grinned and reminded me that, before I started, she had told me to read the directions carefully but I didn't listen.

But now, as Katei said, I have an original!
