O M G !! Stop it... you did not get that beautiful quilt for twenty five bucks!! Wow what a wonderful find! Lucky you! These days you could not even buy the thread for that amount.

I can't imagine how many hours of handwork went in to that quilt. It is just beautiful and a lot of us are certainly glad you found it and retreived it for many more years of use.

I was afraid to try OxyClean--afraid it would be too harsh. Glad to see these results. So white and the stitched colors are vivid. How did you wash/dry this quilt?

I would love to own that quilt. It is beautiful. If the oxyclean didn't get all the stains out, try Calgon. I have used it with great results. I soak overnight in a tub of water and calgon and it removes water and rust stains. Does a good job.
