Rob, did you decide what your layout will be?

I love those weather fabrics!

Hey Neuras. I'm still on the fence, though I'm leaning toward a large diamond shape.

Those progress photos are looking AWESOME! So excited to be starting on a new month! My husband made me laugh last night: "Oh, it's finally beginning to look like something" He's lucky I love him :-)

One third the way around the third circular row. The yellow oranges are the four days it got up to 50. Is there such a thing as a circular row?

Thank you, Grinch. It looks like I'm going to be in the blue green 40s for the next week. Luckily they have lots of different looks in the snow dye.

I finally decided on my layout. I don't know what it's called, but it's a common HST layout where the overall effect is sort of like a bullseye.

And I changed my mind once again. Luckily only have to redo January and a few days of February.

I'm making 3 small-ish wall size quilts: 1) Daily Highs, 2) Daily Lows, 3) Daily Precipitation. For my precipitation quilt I am using solids and the same solid color for each day within each defined precipitation range. My Plan C for the daily temperature quilts was to use all scrappy fabrics - in fact I was even going for no duplicates.

I love the precipitation quilt because it tells the story of the precipitation change very well. Something was bugging me about the temperature quilts and I finally decided it is the scrappiness. I'm too busy looking at all of the different fabrics to "see" the colors therefore the story of the temperature change is being lost.

So...Plan D: hunt through stash for solids that I can use for the temperature quilts and re-do them.
