    TX325, love your brights!

origami, my guess is that ombre fabrics would give you some problematic value pairings.

Quiltylikeafox, I'm swooning over that palette!

I use the paper plate method of organizing . It works like baggies kinda. You put your pieces on paper plates and then you can carry them from table to machine or whatever. They stack well and the pieces are visible . They can be used over and over and are cheap. I could never have finished my Frolic without them. I learned the method from a Deb Tucker certified teacher, Lynn Wheatly. May I suggest you experiment with how they might work for you?

After the wonderful help here, I found a nice, close-ish LQS and selected my fabric today. I bought 2/3rds of the full amount so I could make slightly more than half the units as suggested. One fabric per color and purple instead of gray. They are somewhat brighter that Bonnie’s, but the values are right (I think) and I love batik fabrics! Hopefully it comes out nicely. The gals at the LQS were impressed with my use of my phone to photo and convert to monochrome to make sure I got the right fabric and my eye for values improved! 😁

    They are fabulous!!!
I'm going to attempt it. Because I'm hand dyeing my fabric, I'm not sure exactly how close I'll get. 🤞

leheath8, I like your fabric selection. Like you I like batiks. I’m using mostly batiks and using all but 2 colors in one color. For the other two fabrics I found fabric that are same color, but different pattern. Once I get my brown fabrics washed I will post pics. All the other fabrics are washed and ready to go. I’m excited about this years mystery. With thanksgiving around here pretty much a wash, I’m excited about this mystery. This is the 1st time I decided to buy all of my fabric on line. I really hope I like the pattern this year. (I have to say I only have disliked 1 mystery pattern in the past). I have completed 2 of her mysteries, but I usually make king size to fit my bed and add extra for the sides. Welcome aboard and looking forward to seeing your progress for the next 2 months “+” or “-“ weeks (or months).

FYI, for members who do the virtual quilting weekend (VQW), this Wednesday should start the extra Thanksgiving weekend session. Please pass this info around. Thank-you.

quiltlikeafox, I’m looking forward to your dyed fabric and mystery progress.

I'm a little anxious about the color choices my friend chose, but this is her quilt and her favorite colors so I will go with it. Do you think we will get enough contrast. She prefers the very light gray and mostly tonal whites.

Thanks everyone for the organization ideas. I ordered some project boxes and I am really intrigued by the paper plate idea. I have 2 curious cats so I may try to store the plates in a cake storage tupperware type thing. I have a small house with the dining table as my only cutting area/large workspace so I will definitely be moving stuff around.
