    WOW, you sure fulfilled the black/white/Bright. It is a beautiful block and I would sure like to see the quilt that it goes in.

    The idea is from http://quilterscache.com. She called it Double Z. Of course, being me, I changed the directions. I made the blocks slightly larger and cut down to the 3 1/2 inch size. I think most of the points matched. After pressing the seams to one side on the HSTs, I ended up pressing open seams for the other areas because of the big bulk. It just worked better for me that way.

    would really love it if we could add the block name/source when posting pictures. i noticed that, like me, a lot of people want this info.

    this is me jumping for joy. paintmejudy became my first swap pal and has already completed my first block. what an absolute honor. i can't wait for it to get here. however, i must act rashly until i get hers completed and mailed. hope for tomorrow.
