Have to show you all what I worked on over the weekend. About a year ago I bought a panel with these children prints. I just really thought they were cute but had no idea what to do with them. Found it on a shelf the other day and decided it needed to get done. Since I have never made a monochromatic quilt I guess the idea just popped in my head. Picked out fabrics in ivory, tans, browns and a tad of gray. Kept thinking of playgrounds, etc. so put in the rocks, bricks, etc. Turned out to be 74X74, still have to get it quilted but I'm happy with the results.

I'm sure I will do more of these, somehow the "mono" color scheme is just soothing to me. Would love to see a pic Quilter 65 when you have time. Sustraley we need to see an update on yours too. I'm just about done doing the binding on the orange and turquoise medallion one, already had 1 of my sons claim it.

What a great quilt Jabba. I often see panels I like and wonder what I would do with them. Never thought of this approach. The frames around each picture make each stand alone yet tie it all together. Thanks for sharing. And you're right Emma, another good idea.
