One of my best gifts was from my daughter in law. It is a "blessings" bowl and it came with small sheets of paper and a pretty pen. to start me off, she and my son and my two small grandchildren at the time wrote something about me they appreciated. I have added to this on other occasions. It is very meaningful and especially since it came from her. One year my sons and hubby surprised me with a destination birthday party. That was a rare biggie.

My youngest son in the Navy was in a terrible accident, in a coma for over a month, when he woke up they shipped him to Washington, DC to the National Naval Medical Center. He couldb't wallk or talk, he had a severe head injury. We worked with him walking in a walker. On Christmas Day, we went to see him and he waved at me and said in a rather loud and un-natural voice "Hi Mom " and walked to me about 10 feet without the walker. It was the best ever.
