    never mind on the last ? i found a piece of flannel back table cloth it just sticks to. duh me

    Good for you for just trying the flannel back tablecloth.
    That's the way I started ... taped one up on the wall with painters tape.
    Then tried a piece of flannelette.
    Then a piece of fleece.
    I was hooked!!

    I now have a 7-1/2ft x 10ft. permanent design wall!! I used tentest siding, wrapped the fleece around, then screwed the boards to the wall. I also have a couple of small ones that sit on the side of my sewing machine table when doing blocks. And some other portable ones about 2x4ft. Love them!

    I don't need pins ..... and have even had fully pieced quilts up on the wall in one piece, without pins.

    While I don't use pins ... they do get used for other reasons, like a bulletin board ... holding patterns, to do lists, ideas, etc.


    Tashana ... You have it, so why not give it a try? Just start with your felt, the way I did, and see if it works for you! Some painters tape will hold it well enough for you to know if it's what you want!
