I'm of Polish/Spanish descent and my name was so common that I could not come up with a reasonable name for my email.I decided to use the Polish word for 'Judy' and even then had to add 'au' because there were lots of Jitkas on my email site.Boring but true...

Mine..... I moved here seven years ago, it's a small heritage town, I had lived in Niagara all my life, so this was a big change!!! Knew absolutely nobody. I had just started quilting, so joined the quilt guild, it was large, met one girl who was also new to the area. We eventually started a group that meets every week to quilt. Since we all moved here to retire, we had left our lifelong friends behind so we became each others friends and networks. When we named the group...we chose Sewlmates.(Pun Intended)We turn to each other for everything! I named my Blog Sewlmate Sister in honour of my special friends...thus I am Sewlmate Sister!!!

Krystyna: What beautiful memories. What a wonderful loving woman your mother must have been. Your story warmed my heart.

    I have 17 grand children thus grammy17.

Although I have lived in five different states at various times in my life, my heart lives where I was born, where my ancestors came to to work and live many years ago from Cornwall and Germany. They came to work in the deep copper mines of the UP of MI. I was born there in Allouez, MI in 1932, and people from the UP call themselves Yoopers, thus: Yooper 32.
