This is really a very good question! Nowadays there seem to be only very few quilters in the world who do traditional wholecloths by hand. Sandi Lush, Gwenfai Reese Griffiths, Lilian Hedley and Amy Emms MBE from UK should be mentioned and their work inspire me a lot. I have also seen pictures of quilts by Linda M. Roy, Hazel Canny and some others from US. But I confess that I find my highest inspiration by looking at pictures of quilts made in England and Wales in the last centuries. Very often the names of the quilters are not indicated or even not known. I love to use the patterns they used and to keep an old traditional craft alive.

Beautiful hand work. Your stitches are so even. I always hand quilt all my quilts just stitch the ditch. How long did it take to do all the stitching?

I needed around 4 weeks for this quilt (6-8 hours per day).

Your stitching is beautiful. Wish I could do hand stitching but unfortunately ole man arthur won't let me do it. Bummer!
