I am always looking for people from Florida. Seems that most of the qilters live in the midwest or northwest.
I live on the east coast of FLorida in Delray Beach, so I think you are abot 2- 2 1/2 hours from me. THere is someone who has become a very good friend (although we have never met) and she lives in Merritt Island.which I believe is closer to the Orlando area, or near the Space Shuttle area. There is anolter woman who also lives in Orlando, which I know is almost 190 miles from me. Would be nice if we could all meet somewhere for a nice retreat.
I am a full time resident, and wish that the snowbirds would find somewhere else to be, as our roads and stores are so overcrowded that it is frustrating.

Amen. Live in Tamarac, FL Main source of fabric here seems to be Joanne's or online. Wish we had a few more LQS as well. Been to Sunshine -- seems to be in an odd area for a quilt store (warehouse district). Find the staff very suspicious -- follow you all over the store. Find the prices to be on the high side as well.

Once Upon a Quilt on Griffin Road. Have to confess I haven't been to that store but have bought from them at the Ft. Lauderdale Quilt show. Have a close friend who had a quilt machine quilted there -- said it was absolutely beautiful -- too longer than expected but was worth the wait.
