I am in intrigued. I have never heard of such a thing as you describe, can you offer a link that describes this? I use a plain little ruler that measures 2" x 6" and has etching on it in 1/4" increments and two 45 degree angles. I am sure there must be an easier way to cross hatch! LOL No I never took a class for wholecloth but I am a big fan of Karen Mctavish and have two of her books so I used one of her designs for the center and another for the hearts in the corners. I have taken a class with her for McTavishing which I used to background fill outside of the center motif.

I am so very impressed with your design artistry of this quilt's quilting. Your imagination and artistic skill are beyond stunning! Your mentor has recognized your abilities and you have not let her down. Both of you are such awesome long arm quilters and I am so jealous of your ability. I would love to be able to create such masterpieces that I have seen from the two of you. Thank you for sharing your progress.......it has been a delightful adventure and inspiration for all of us (as you can tell from all of the responses).

Thank you for sharing your lovely quilt with us. Charisma clearly has a good eye for fellow talented quilters - you are well on your way to some long-arming greatness from the looks of this. Great job and keep quilting!!

To say that it is beautiful doesn't seem to do it justice. I don't think there enough adjectives to describe how gorgeous it is!!! You did great!!
