Well, Rush Limbaugh and I have been enjoying the Avatar Quilt show, herein contained! <g>
I just HAD to post something to bump this thread up to the top because I noticed that some of our crafty quilters have since changed their avatars and didn't come back here to explain themselves!
    At any rate!
If one has not looked through every page in this thread, you have missed an exceptional amount of eye candy and inspiration. You will also miss out on an appreciation for all the Board has done to encourage all levels of participants in their chosen expression of creativity.
Well done, Quilters, WELL DONE! ***APPLAUSE*** <wave>

I KNEW someone was going to nail me on that one <g> This is a string quilt, created by sewing strips on a fabric foundation (11 inches square and then trimmed down to 10.5"). the sashing is 2.5" wide ...
Tip for string quilts. take your strips that are all the same size and sew them end to end, then roll into your own special jelly roll. As evidenced in the picture, it adds more variety in a lot of the strips. <wave>

Thanks! :) I just wish I could find more of the fabric. I bought all they had, and haven't run across any more.

If your avatar pic is a quilt - please post a bigger pic along with the name and designer of the block. A link to directions you used might be nice as well. I am asking because due to the small size of the avatar pics it is sometimes difficult to pick out all the detail and identify the pattern. Thanks in advance for participating - can't wait to see your pics!!
Here's mine. Design is 'Thinking Outside the Block' by Toadusew.com. Made for DD who just loves it!

craftyone27, Thank you so much for asking everyone to post their avatars. It is just like going to a quilt show with your gown and housecoat on. Thanks.
