In the car ,harness and clipped to seatbelt. I would never put my dog in the back of a truck.

Saw that happen at a slow speed. The dog jumped up & ran after the truck - the driver didn't stop.
My 17lb dog uses this style. Waits to be clipped in & goes to sleep.

Well some good news......

I seen the dogs owner today at the store. The young man is doing just fine, just very sore. She said he has road rash on his little butt. They checked him out, no internal injuries, gave him some pain meds and off to home with the windows rolled up.

She was very lucky this time.

It is illegal in the state of WA to have an unsecured dog in the back of a truck. Doing this is actually breaking two laws, and the person can (and should) be fined. If the dog should happen to fall/jump out and cause an accident/damage the owner of the dog is responsible.

It's also illegal in Calif and NV. People don't think. Another one is people driving with their vehicle windows open wide enough for the dog to jump out.
