    Where did you get your pattern. What is the name of the pattern. I have a GD that loves everything horse. I would love to make one for her for a wall hanging.

    Prairie points are flaps on the quilt. You fold up the fabric, line it up and sew another piece across the ends so the folded edges stick out. The sun points and mane are points, adding some 3D to the quilt.

    I kind of like the idea of making this into a tote bag. My DGD is the probably recipient since she's the horse-girl in the family. My intent is to make her a full-size quilt with a horse theme, which is why I'm testing various ideas.

    grandma nurse - the pattern came from Southwest Decoratives. It's an all-pieced quilt pattern called "Horse Happy". I highly recommend the company to buy from, they've provided excellent customer service to me. Here's a link to the pattern:
