I have fiskars marked 'fabric only', 'paper/batting', and then i have Wiss Shears from 1956, Wiss tailor points from 1958, an even Wiss utility sissors from 1944 (all i wanted for my fifth birthday was a pair of good sissors, according to family 'legends' i was quite outspoken about it). Sissors are right up there with the wheel on the good for mankind list.

LOL, I'm doing things backward--I do use my palm-held thread snips to get behind burrs tangled in my shaggy terriers' coats. They don't have to see me coming at them with bigger scissors and the points make it easier to get in behind the burr and cut it with minimum hair loss. Dog hair doesn't seem to damage the scissors.

Believe it or not, every single pair of scissors/shears I own were purchased at dog shows. I also bring my knives along because the shows usually have a sharpener.

I've also bought fabric at dog shows. yup. Seriously. It has dogs printed on it.

Great find! I use Fiskars for paper, stabilizer, etc. you should have scissors for a long time.
