LOL, I'm doing things backward--I
do use my palm-held thread snips to get behind burrs tangled in my shaggy terriers' coats. They don't have to see me coming at them with bigger scissors and the points make it easier to get in behind the burr and cut it with minimum hair loss.
Dog hair doesn't seem to damage the scissors.
