I think I'd call it a night if I did that twice in an evening. Hope today goes better for you.

    Cheers, K

Everyone has a threshold.. you found yours on that day! Sometimes its just time to turn out the lights and call it a day.

Nighttime quilting is the ONLY quilting I really do; weekends are usually so hectic I rarely get a full day to do anything. So it's usually a few hours at night to work on projects. Last week, I managed to break my seam ripper! (That night, I just dropped everything, switched off the machine and went to bed, with a project still hanging off the needle. I was sooo done.)

I will say, last night did end well. I (finally) filled the bobbin, pieced my squares, pressed them, pieced my row, and put it away for the night. I didn't dare start on the other side!

And yes, I slept GREAT knowing I didn't leave it hanging!

    Stop when mistakes pile up?
Stop when it's no longer fun?
Stop because ____ tells me to?

Shoot, I stop when it's time to start hitting the bottle!
Which is usually after I've done something totally inane, frustrating, time-wasting, humbling.....
    Like tonight.

Yep, been there, too. Either I stop for the day or take a break for a while if the day is still young . Sometimes I will switch to a different project.

I was sewing HUGE pinwheel star blocks and did two at a time. The first two turned out fine. The second two not so much, I reversed the pinwheel colors and had to rip both blocks out entirely. Took a couple of hours to rip it all out. I was done sewing for that day! I still have two to go but that will have to wait until the Christmas rush is over.
