yep that is how the center block didnt get rotated the first time however, I liked how it turned out so went with the flow

Never let the instructions get in the way of creativity!

Hey Carolyn, I guess I came in a little late on this one but I love your diagram. NEAT!! But question....after you sew the 4 blocks together, where do you cut them apart. I have done the disappearing 9 patch but that one you after sewing 9 blocks together, you just cut that in half horizontally and vertically.....but your 4 patch looks like it might be cut and inch or so to the right and left of the seam line. Is that right or did you divide it in thirds. Would love to try yours. Thanks, Sandrea

You cut 1in from the center lines.....the Missouri star quilt company has a youtube video on how to do the block. That is what I used for instructions. I just rotated differently, that is what the diagram is for

Carolyn, I just watched the Jenny Doan tutorial on the disapprearing 4 patch block.....thank you Soooooo much for the information. I have some charm square packs and I think I will start on mine tomorrow. LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! Can't wait to start.
