We normally feed only the birds, but this year DH is putting out corn for the bigger critters--have had a half dozen deer in our back yard here lately (we are having some extremely cold and icy weather this year). Sometimes he does some bellyaching' wondering if those critters appreciate how cold he gets when he is out there checking feeders, etc. My feeling is, they do appreciate it. I myself haven't been outside these four walls in well over a week. I am wearing layers inside the house.

I am amazed that they friendly with one another and get along so well. It's a good thing you are doing for the animals, it's been a tough, cold winter here in New England, but we're not allowed to feed the birds and squirrels, however, someone in the nearby houses must be, as the squirrels are nice and fat. My cat loves to sun herself and watch them play.

These are beautiful pictures; *almost* makes me want to be there! Almost.
We're getting our own snow now.

Beautiful pics. I feed all the wild birds, squirrels and raccoons and others try to help themselves. I run them off when I see them. We have lots of woods around us and never see deer. Think we have some feral cats too. I have three cats now and not interested in taking in more kitties.
I recently got a puppy Shih Tzu and my hands are full. I have the two dogs, three cats and a cockatiel, plus feeding the wild birds. I also work full time and work on a quilt everyday and weekends along with all my laundry and housework.
