Great, great quilt. Nice and colorful and happy and the layout of the blocks is super with with contrast of light and dark. My opinion is no border. I would just do black binding. But, that's my 2 cents worth!

I would make the quilt bigger, rather than smaller. I'm a fan of big quilts. They can be used on a bed when he gets into one. Can be used to cuddle in on the sofa watching TV, while he's still little it can be put on the floor for him to lay on and play on.

Wow, I just love that! I love how visible the diamonds are, even though the fabrics are all different patterns and colors. Very cool!

What a wonderful I Spy quilt! I can see it being used for years to come. Are all 36-9 patches different patterns? Excellent.
