I am a lucky member of Yosamitesa's monthly swaps and I have accumulated A LOT of I-spy squares over this past year.. Now I am drawing a blank on what to do with my squares.. Ive searched online, thru block patterns and nothing jumps out at me... I can do the regular sew them all together one after another but Id like to have some more 'UMPH' to it of you get what I mean...
I have lots of these:
4x4
5x5
5.5x5.5
6x6
7x7
and 10.5x10.5 from MY monthly swaps...
Id like to see pics of what your I-spy Quilts look like.. I make alot of donated quilts (toddler/lap) so id like something not to difficult as Id like to continue to make one a week if at all possible.. and to dwindle my squares.. I only have soooo much space.. Id prefer to keep the size of my I-spy squares as-is, honestly I really don't want to cut them down.. so patterns that use the above sizes would be AWESOME.
Any suggestions, links, or freebie patterns would be GREATLY appreciated.. But most of all Id LOVE LOVE LOVE to see your pics..

Here's hoping this thread goes forth and multiplies as the Scrappy Quilt thread has ... now at over 100 pages!
I too am looking for ideas ... and a photo show here would be the ultimate!
Thanks for starting this, LuvTooQuilt!!

I've not yet tried posting a picture on the new board - here goes.
I selected 3 but only got this one
As you can see I created circles and appliqued onto backgrounds of the recipients' favorite colours. (I made lap quilts for 7 good friends) I chose novelties that related to the friend's life.
Clearly, a Red Sox fan who eats Chinese. The rectangle is her granddaughter.
If you do a D9P make sure to position the corner squares so as to be in the same direction when reassembled

I've made 2 of the disappearing 9-patch I Spy from this website and love it!

I do not know exactly where it is at, but in the Member swaps thread, people were making what looked like "jars" and they would put "bug" fabric or animal fabric....they were really cute. I know this isnt much help, but it was adorable....

Here is one I just made for my 9 month old great nephew. When I asked my niece to photograph it for my records, she got it at such an angle I'm not sure you can tell that I sashed the blocks with yellow and then applied large red rickrack over the sashing. The bright striped border was just perfect for this quilt, and, I already had it on hand.
It was really much cuter than the picture portrays.
