    Our church has made a few of these, but yours are terrific. Lots of ideas others could use. I'm sure they will be enjoyed very much. Did you back them with flannel, or fleece, so they would not slip on the laps of the users?

    Yes a picture goes in clear pocket. Currently my 11 yr old Grand daughter is sketching cartoon type pictures for them. Personal pictures of the residents can also be inserted.

    I used fuseable peltex on the inside an flannel onthe back.

    Your mats are useful because they require a number of small muscle memory involvement. They are very 'pretty' which is very important for people with these dementia issues. Probably there are few of us whose lives have not been touched with having loved ones with these sad conditions. Thank you for sharing your skill and thanks to your daughter-in-law for her work.
