What is your city known for?

Troy NY is known for the Home of Uncle Sam, he is burried, within 15 miles or so of me.
its also known as collar city or maybe thats the other town near us the bridge is called that because
one of the shirt makers used to make collars here or over there lol.
I know there is alot of other history here as well as in the area.
as for Melrose, well I'm totally clueless other than this area is full of republicans.

I live in Porter Ok its is know as "The Peach Capital of the World". We have a festival in July ever year. People come from all over the world to buy our Peaches. The orchards sell them by the ton to alot of large companies.Have to say we do have the very best peaches.

Our closest city is Asheville, NC, home of the Biltmore Estate
Also, lots of movies made here, like "Dirty Dancing", "Last of the Mohicans", for a couple of examples;
Andie McDowell lived here for several years, but I thinking she is working in NYC now mostly, and an empty
nester, so her huge home is for sale... It's a beautiful area, love it here!...
