I only have dust bunnies now.

As far as cats or dogs - depends on whether the critter lets me pet it or not.

Love both....we have 3 dogs and 1 cat, but I would like another cat. The debate at our house...my DH wants a hairless cat and I want a Himalayan..hmmmm...

I was always a dog person but when our dog Rocky (may he RIP) found a litter of kittens in our back yard we had to keep one. Rocky was about 20 the following year when we lost him and my heart still can't replace him with another dog. The little kitty has certainly grown on me, though, and having her helped us through. I never realized how much personality a cat had until "Tinkles".

I'm a dog and horse person versus a cat, although I do have an outside cat, and while I do like her, I much prefer dogs and horses.

3 guesses as to which CATegory I fall under and the first two don't count.

Disclaimer: Love the pups too. We have one of those as well but in our house even the dog knows cats rule and dogs drool.

Two rescue cats, our lovely Dobies have all gone on ahead to the Rainbow Bridge.
One cat I found as a just weaned kitten, dumped with his wild litter mates in Dec years ago, the others left one by one before I could catch them. Koko stalked in one day and declared himself king of the house.
The second one was found in a horrid rain storm in Texas at my daughter's school. Her class yelled to her that a white cat was trying to belly up the window for the warmth. DD's dogs got mean with it after a couple of years so Fredrica came to me on the plane with my DGD and is a perfect love.

dogs rule but cats are nice too. currently have an over active mutt and 3 indoor boy cats. gained the cats because i feed some feral cats. these were kittens i rescued with the intention that they would go to new homes. hasn't worked out and they are now 7 months old. my dog won't stop chasing them so i still have hopes they will find new homes someday soon. the chaos gets to me some days.

We have one dog whom we love and she loves us, and the cat who allows us to live with him! LOL
