I was at work, where the power went out for nearly 3 hours. A rush to get the customers checked out and on their way out of the store while the registers were still up and running. Then a dash to save the ice cream, yogurt and other cold foods.
Then we waited.....
Call from my DH who was at home telling me that storm was really bad and winds were high, water was flowing in the back pasture. Winds got so bad he went to the basement twice. DD and SIL went to our house as they had also lost power.
And today they just announced on the news that makes it official. It was a TORNADO that touched down just 3 miles east of here (Jonesborough) yesterday. Lots of damage! Lots of trees down. I noticed a lot of trees down on my way to work earlier today. Praise God no one was hurt through it all.
Today - sunshine hot and several around the area working on clean up.
Pics are what resulted in just 15 minutes in the pasture behind our house. Our neighbor lost three sections of his fence that was between our houses!
We are all o.k. and no damage to any of our property.

Water shouldn't be there

Yes, that's a pond, but the flowing water shouldn't be there

I'm not fearful of many things, but, after years in Texas (tornado alley) I just get the heebie-jeebies around spring weather time no matter where I am now. So glad you're safe and undamaged. Nothing beats having a basement at times like these!
