Perhaps try arranging them into a star shape with the darker sides all facing into the middle, rather than in the rows as you have them?

What about a border around the whole quilt of your center color to give it some pop and tie it all together? Also, if you want, you could try reversing half of your blocks so that you have a wide strip of cream in the center and you have the dark brown showing all around the quilt...just some ideas...play with it! Log cabin blocks are so fun to play with!
i agree.

Maybe change the two darkest sides to a more medium, rich brown and use the ones you have now for a sashing between the blocks.

That being said....it's your quilt. Audition different fabrics and see what you like best.

I would second this solution. But it looks great so far!

Your colors are beautiful. I have yet to do LC so I would love to watch as you rearrange them (if thats what you decide to do). I can only imagine the patterns that would emerge. Fun, fun, fun. I also agree that adding a fine strip of red in the border would POP.

Thanks for sharing this. I didn't know this was available on the QB.

You could add black borders on the sides that don't have black for a shadow box effect. Then add another border (probably a dark print) around the entire thing.
