Thanks Margee! There is no colour selection going on as these are randomly selected scraps, but you focus on the contrast between each two pieces as you construct the blocks.

Thanks, Millie is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Boxer cross...we think, as she was a rescue dog I would love to see pics of your Mom's dog for comparison

Thanks catlady...I think what Millie is actually thinking is....'I wonder if I roll over and show my belly, I will get to lay on this comfy spot for longer'....and she did LOL

Love what you did. Jewel Box and Jacob's Ladder are really similar, aren't they? I've recently begun making a list of quilt patterns that you can make using only half-square triangles and four-patch. There are a number of them. I'm thinking of making up a slew of both and then deciding which pattern to make.

You are so right Teacup, I played around with my blocks when I started my quilt. I played with several layouts before choosing the one that I did, which was made up in a 9 patch formation. If you google image search you will find hundreds of different quilts all made from 4 Patches & HST's..this is such a versatile block and of course different fabrics make a lot of difference too! I look forward to seeing what you come up with soon

Almost a 'reverse' of your quilt - it will stand out on the bed beautifully on top of the quilt. Both are gorgeous! Love scrappy quilts.

I have just finished the 2nd one and put them on the bed with the quilt...they blend in, I think as both designs are very busy LOL..I am pleased with how they turned out now

So....what to do next with my scraps??????

That is pretty. Love it when we can use our left over on another project. Is that a log cabin I see in the background?
