I like the lattice look too, BUT I think it would also be quite striking with sashing. Your preference I think. What a loving, amazing thing you are doing. She is definitely going to feel the love with your gift. Make sure we get to see the finished product.

    Default Great job- beautiful quilt

I love this and that your are making this for her. I would vote on sashings to show off each block. All together is a little bit overwhelming (to me) but it is beautiful either way you go.

I love this block! the colors you are using are so pretty. She will feel the love! Now, can someone tell me where to find the directions for this block? I have a fat quarter bundle that would be pretty done with this. A sister-in-law has Lupus and I found the bundle, of purples/florals, perfect for her. I like the idea of grouping 4 blocks within a sashing. thanks!

I'd vote for small sashing in a darker blue. Maybe yellow corner stones..? Whatever you decide, it will be a wonderful gift for her!

I just finished a very similar top in lilac, yellow and green. I didn't but any sashing on the blocks, however I did add 2 borders and I do not like the borders at all. I will be getting using my trusty seam ripper and removing the borders this coming weekend. Very nicely done

    Definitely agree.

I like it without the sashing - looks like lattice. It's going to be a beautiful quilt and even more special to the recipient.

Oh, it's beautiful! Love the colors and fabrics so much! But I'm not much help because I think it will be great either way. Looks wonderful as is, but would also look terrific, I think, with solid gold or solid blue sashing between those blocks. When you decide, please show us!

No opinion but I loved your story. It's always a blessing when someone special comes along and finds a place in your life.

Usually I would automatically say sashing but I like the lattice effect you have. I guess it depends on how many blocks you have and how big you want the quilt.

You have done a great job and it will be a wonderful gift!
