There's a sort of funny story to the Rose Log Cabin. I volunteered to head up the raffle quilt for the guild for 2015. I found this pattern by Deloa Jones. So I proposed it to the guild. Well, unbeknownst to me, another member had decided that since 2015 is the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War, that we should do a Civil War quilt. The President donated the kit that she'd had for 5 years. I lost the voting by 2 votes. I decided to make it anyway & put it into this show as a nose up to you. The only thing I purchased was the batting for this quilt. Everything else came out of my stash. This same person came up to me & had the gall to tell me that I should donate it for the 2016 raffle quilt! Told her it was going on my new King size bed!

I loved looking at your quilts. The bow tie was quite cute. Blazing Stars gave me an idea for a bag of fabric I bought for another project, but think something on the Star line would work much better. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work.

CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL THOSE RIBBONS. You should be very proud. When I belonged to a guild and we would have our annual quilt show, I think I got one third place ribbon; however, I think I've improved a lot since then.
