What is the length and width on your border ? I am having a tough time trying to figure out how to make a border for a twin size quilt with a panel piece that is 34 by 43.

I’m working on 2 of them right now for g-Dtrs. On both, I put a narrow black border to frame the panel. Then made a border of 5 minute blocks to go around. Google them. Now I’m adding additional borders to that. I like to make a bottom border wider to allow for height of the girls. The 5 min blocks make for an interesting feature.
