The fat quarter shop has panels and a kit that uses a panel.

This might give you an idea of what it would look like with blocks.

I used the pattern in the September/October 2014 Love of Quilting magazine. Around the panel are snowflakes on 8 1/2" squares. With borders, the quilt finished 74" x 82". To appliqué the snowflakes, I used a #60 needle and #100 silk thread. The stitching was almost invisible. I gave the quilt to my daughter's 6 year old foster child. With that quilt on her bed, she makes her bed every morning. I have never seen a child love a quilt so. Best wishes with your quilt.

I bought this panel and have been stressing out what to do with it! I have two granddaughter's that would love it and can't decide which one to make it for. I wish I had bought two of them so I wouldn't have this problem. Any suggestions out there?
