    Thank you, all. I don't know the name of the quilting motif. Here's the quilt Jeanne S made that was my source of inspiration. Isn't her quilt pretty?

    I used 5" squares in mine but I imagine you could use any size.

    I love the colors you chose. They remind me of a flower garden in spring...brown soil, golden sun, blue sky and pink and red flower blooms. The slanted scrappy border frames the center of the quilt so nice. The curvy quilting design softens the quilt. Your good friend will be thrilled to give this quilt a home!
