I reminds me of the “eye of god” things we made from toothpicks and yarn, as kids. It is a beautiful quilt.

you have to call it Jewel! that was what i thought of when seeing it. lovely!
(Please reconsider using any kind of curtains for quilting. My first ever quilt, I used some cafe curtains I no longer needed. Long story short, the curtain fabric began to dissolve after only a couple washes. I was so disappointed. It is also the only quilt I ever threw in the burning barrel. The sun degrades fabric, even polyester.)

What was the mistake? What's the name of this pattern? I really like Trip around the World patterns and I like Bargello patterns but I absolutely love this Trip around the World made to look like a Bargello style. Would appreciate the pattern name you started with or any tips to do this Trip around the world in Bargello style.
