Vivid Fractured Poppies at Sunset - Easy and fun!

I liked the way the last one of these fractured quilts came out so of course I had to make another one! The fabric is designed by Chong-a-Hwang for Timeless Treasures and I used/slightly modified the pattern from Jordan Fabrics adn is called the Secret Window Panel (https://jordanfabrics.com/pages/secr...l-wall-hanging). It is really easy and I just made it larger using a few borders. The contrast of the black and red are striking and I love the sunset. I used a red/orange/yellow variegated thread for quilting and black minky on the back. Hope you enjoy!

That is lovely! It brings to mind the John McCrae poem In Flander’s Fields.

Just watched a video from Jordan Fabrics showing how to do a panel like you did. Really like your fabrics and quilting.

That's gorgeous, Steph. Both are just so vivid. I've become quite a fan of poppies lately--made my kitchen curtains and accessories in poppies.

This is gorgeous....really vibrant. The variegated thread was such an excellent choice. I keep forgetting about that option when choosing quilting thread. Just love this...

Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous! I am a lover of
Chong-a-Hwang for Timeless Treasures fabrics, too. The fabrics are all so colorful and vibrant. I need to make a quilt like this. What a great way to use these fabrics.

I really love that pattern. Made 3 different panels for wall hangings. Gifted one to the cancer center where my DH was chemo treated and the nurses hung it on a wall. Besides, I can quilt these on my sewing machine vs. putting on the long arm; which I've not been able to master.
