Absence of Hummingbirds?

Yes, we are the same way in Phenix City, AL. We usually have about 15-20 swarming our three feeders but this year we might have 5 flying around. I dropped down to 2 feeders and I have to keep changing the water out because with the heat, it sours so quickly they won't drink it.

yes, I have a LOT less, (I think only 2 - Ive seen single ones, but only 2 together only a few times) and I keep my feeders cleaned and full. I also haven't had one painted bunting at all yet! Thats why I keep the bird feeders for, and I make sure they have running water in the bird bath.
I've had painted buntings every yr since I moved to SC and not one at all yet. Also, Im in the Great Sunflower Project and I have had hardly any bees. (You can google that, they grow a sunflower or a patch and count at a given time how many bees come to the flowers, then log them on a map) sharet
