I keep forgetting about Alex ANderson but I watched her show every chance I got. I grabbed an embroidery hoop and put 3 different cloths together and tried some stitching. Wish it were more available on television.
I enjoy Mary Fons' blog. I met her this past spring and chatted a while and she signed a poster for me which is hanging in my quilting room. She is delightful. Easy to talk to. I love Eleanor Burns. She has taught me a lot. I like Leah Day - her backstory is quite interesting. Alex Anderson on Simply Quilts is the one who made me think quilting was a possibility for me. I do miss that show.

I have to say my #1 is Eleanor Burns. Back in the '80's when I started quilting, she was pretty much my only resource. I was fortunate enough to meet her at one of the larger shows several years ago.
For inspiration on CREATING a quilting design, Lisa Calle is my fave (she is so VERY nice and customer-oriented!!), and just for general inspiration for quilting IDEAS, Judi Madsen - what an artist she is!!
I love Jenny Doan's down-to-earth friendliness in her tutorials, and Bonnie Hunter for learning how to tame my scraps (I'm still working on this, for sure!)
Some of the names others have mentioned are not familiar to me, and some I don't care for at all!!
However, each of us have different tastes, different ways of learning, and different paths to travel... but we all love our art, right? There are NO quilt police!!

Eleanor Burns is my number one because she teaches to my skills, Tula Pink because we have the same color preferences and I just got my first piece of her fabric. I love Kaffe Facett for his bright colors, Jenny Doan for her warmth, and all of you for being so willing to help each other and stay positive.

Long time ago, I was turned on to quilting by Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson and her guests. I couldn't wait to retire to try. Then came retirement when I stumbled onto this board. Whohooo! Now I'm hooked on Jenny Doan, and when I grow up, I want to be just like Bonnie Hunter.

Jo Kramer and daughter Kelli of Jo's Country Junction, Bonnie Hunter and Jenny Doan. I also like Mary Fons but don't get an opportunity to see her on TV often. I always liked her on Fons & Porter.
