I love the bird pin cushion. The black and white fabrics are great too. Very nice swap. Mary

It was me!!! Thank You so much Mary. I love everything though my favorite is the chair pin cushion :)

Scared the snot out of DH and my cousin Terri Jean, was talking to them and in the middle of a sentence happened to glance out the door and saw it on the porch (still not sure how the mailman snuck past me lol). Hollered "my squishie is here" and hightailed it to the door and started a happy dance as I took it to the table to open.

Ok the good part :) Got a chair pincushion w/ 3 pins and a spool of thread in it, 3 beautiful FQ's, lots of neat scrapbooking stickers, pkg of bobbin holders, 2 boxs of reeses pieces (only one will make it into picturs), 3 neat recipe cards w/sewing machines on the bottom one has peach-berry smoothie recipe, she loves me she loves me not quilt pattern, SewSimple bag pattern, purse manicure set, and needle and threader in a cute holding case!

Again, Thank You so much Mary, I love everthing :) Hope you get your squishie soon.
That pin cushion is adorable!!!

I thought it was cute too. Last month on the swap someone recieved a book with the little chair pattern and several others on it. Another member and I bought the book. I will post the name of it tomorrow. It's late here now in Missouri. Good night. Mary

I would love to buy the book also, so I will wait for the name.
Thanks

I wonder if you could use some "fairy frost" fabric to add some sparkle to the project

I have been reading up on shadow quilting and was wondering if that might work?

the christmas in july theme has been around for a long time. the fabric stores and craft stores use to have special sales for this theme. i'm not sure if they still do.

i personally would prefer not to be limited to any monthly themes. i have a big swap box that i have started filling with things as i see them, no theme to it... just great things.

Are we doing a Christmas in July theme? If so I was going to send something to my pal tomorrow with her squishy, definitly staying away from the snake theme LOL
lol, nope, it just seemed to end up that way for those that like Christmas as their favorite Holiday, I think. :D

Although a Theme for one month, might be interesting...hrm...what do you think Lori? ;)

Beautiful photo. I would think you have a couple of choices. You could use fabric paint if you are artistic. Or you could download the photo and print it out onto fabric. Neither of these, have I tried, so I am far from being an expert. lol. Or you could do an art quilt using different fabrics and embellishments. Also a method I have not tried. Guess I'm full of untested ideas that probably won't work, huh?

This is one of the very few times that I find the time difference between the UK and USA frustrating.

The postman arrived about an hour ago with a large box of goodies. I know the sender's name, but not her board name and I would love to send her a huge, huge thank you before I post anything more on here.

I have emailed Lori, and understandably, she has not answered yet...... Oh the devil in the waiting for an answer!

Have a great day everyone, when you get up!
