asimplelife - your table topper is beautiful. There seems to be an added sense of accomplishment (for me anyway) when a quilt is made from scraps, don't you think?

For some reason I'm not getting this thread on my notifications--but I found it easily and have caught up--oh what lovelies both big and small. And with a musical fanfare I can say I have some WIP's done. Most of these are going to the NICU that cared for our GS that is already 18 months old. Finally good intentions are getting done.

A friend of mine gave me these 4 Looney Tune panels. I used lots of black and red as I learned these are great colors for babies as it helps them focus
The last one is still a flimsy.
The next one is scraps. 2 different block sets-one with a black border and one without. Love the crayon fabric in the border. Lots of "I Spy" opportunities in this one.
I pieced the next blocks on a fabric foundation--no batting and used a cute transportation flannel on the back.
This little quilt I call a "step" quilt, made of scraps and Thomas the Train on the back.
And finally another flimsy just waiting for the quilting. Love the rainbow fabric for the backing.

Thanks for sharing. I love the loony tunes quilts. Didn't know about red and black being good for babies - much more striking than the traditional pastel colours.

This is from a RR we did here in 2010. My grandson picked it out of all of my UFOs for his re-done pre-teen bedroom. Because he has a twin bed I took the last yellow border off and used the fabric for the binding! Worked perfectly....and he loves it! It is called Cosmic Dreams and I love what everyone added to make this an exciting and vibrant quilt!

Love all of these. I love to make baby quilts in bright colors and I'm told the babies love them too.

Gumballs is 104"x104", and quilted on my Bernina. Log cabin was QAYG, about 78"x91".

Sherry, these quilts are just so fabulous! I did a smaller version of your turquoise one last month for my charity bees group, except my zigzags were horizontal rather than vertical
