    Agreed!
Thanks so much for your comments on the blocks. I wish that block 17 turns out as well as the rest of the blocks. I have been avoiding this block until I can figure out what I need to do to make it look as good as the rest. Thanks for looking and the nice comments

It looks fine from my porch. I think you won't notice once they are sewn together. Love the fabric

has anyone found the graded color fabric that she used for the border applique? I have looked and cannot seem to find it. Maybe it is just one of my DUH moments, but if anyone knows where to get it I would love a link...thanks, Patti

I looked for ages too, Patti, and no luck, I have seen some nice hand dyed ones by Ricky Tims that I think would look good, but I wasn't keen on the cost. I found a few nice ones on ebay, (seach multi coloured batiks), but in the end, I bought one from a board member. It has shaded backgrounds from one colour to another, but with a design sort of overlaid on it. I have used the same fabric in my narrow borders. My other idea was to put different rectangles behind each curl to get a similar affect, the join could still be covered up with tiny circles.

Here is my finished block after I added the bit of embroidery that I forgot.

Patti, your block is really pretty (like the bleach buds) but that link for batiks is totally scrummy. I wish I had found it earlier, but I am committed now.

Well you fooled me with the buds, I was sure you had bleached them. I'll look up that link when I get a minute.
