I collected Miniature Quilts magazine for years and read them all (never yet made one!) but I remember a tip.....I think they sew 1/4" seams and then trim them down to 1/8"......OR they sew the block bigger and then trim it down.

Oh my word.. and I love doing miniatures. Even I don't think I have the patience for that.. and I'm working on a quilt with 3/8" hexagons..
