Don't normaly care for the modern look but I love you placemats. The quilting is wonderful adds to the modern look. Wonderful job.

These are BEAUTIFUL and SO MODERN!! Thanks for sharing this project - I've been needing a little inspiration to make some placemats for our red dishes, and this may be IT!! (Gotta go check my scraps now) Your round quilting really makes a nice contrast to the rectangular nature of the piecing. These are just so super!!
