I have been told by a few doctors that white distilled vinegar has antiseptic properties. I have used it on sunburn and it kept it from peeling.

Yes it does kill weeds but it will also kill the grass so be very careful. It isn't something you would spray all over your yard.
Use it like a weed killer that you can spray just the weed.

Good Luck

LOVE the stuff!!

If I have a bad upper resperatory congestion, I make myself a mug of hot wine vinegar. The fumes from it boiling is enough to clear the whole town of congestion :)
LOL!

A bowl of vinegar will get rid of that new paint smell after you paint a room....well, it will help ;-)

Really, does it kill the weeds? I ask because I have an iris bed which is half weed and half iris and don't want to hurt the flowers but would love to kill the weeds.
I haven't done used vinegar on weeds, so have no idea if it works.
However, "painting" on a weed spray (roundup?) can do a great job ... and miss the iris or other perennials the weeds are amidst. So would think you could do the same with the vinegar.

Suzy; Thanks. What's the ratio to water or is it just straight vinegar? ~ chris

We clean house with it. The best window cleaner and shower cleaner. It is also great for hard wooden floors.
