I found 13 yards of 92 inch very nice muslin today for 4.00 at thrift store. I do not want to take it in the house until I wash it because I always worry about bugs. So I think I will need to cut it into sections to wash---anyone know what lengths to cut it or have suggestions? :)

Since you may want to use it for backings , cut in 3 yard lenghts. That's not bigger than a sheet.

Depends on what you plan to use it for. If for quilt backing, I would cut it no smaller than in 3 or 4 yard sections.

I would take it to the laundry mat and wash it whole, as you may want to keep it in tact until you know how much you might want to cut off of it.

Wow, great find! I would probably cut it in 3yrd increments. Long enough to back a queen, unless you think you might use it for something bigger.

92" wide will do the length on most quilts. I would wash it whole, iron it, fold it in half lengthwise, then in half again and ask your LQS or JoAnns for a used bolt to wrap it on. Great buy!
