I have been quilting for a long time (40 years). Most of my quilts go to family when I am done with them. I am looking for a pattern made from the log cabin pattern but it makes a butterfly instead of the traditional log cabin.

Hello Lou and welcome. I haven't seen a log cabin quilt that makes a butterfly, but I will search the web and see what I can find and let you know. What part of Wyoming are you in.
