Default Quilting Checklist

I am trying to find a checklist for planning and making a quilt. Does anyone have one or know where to find one. I'm starting my gift list for next year and I like to plan it out (fabric, supplies, pattern, notes, etc.). Thanks!

I've never seen one but that's a really good idea. The more organized the better and I have so many projects stacked up to do that I can see where a checklist would be really useful.

Sounds like you have the list already - start with the pattern- then get the fabric and any notions that you might need ( Special rulers, etc. ) if you have questions about the pattern ask we will try and help

is this your first quilt ?

Perhaps you could design one for eg: Microsoft Word or a spread sheet. Sounds like a great idea for keeping track of multiple projects!

If you do a search on this forum for quilt checklist you get the wonderful quilting retreat checklist. This would be a good starting place. You could review this list and delete items not required to begin a quilt at home.

Are you a beginning quilter? With no supplies? If this is. The case you just need to start with the basics:
Rotary cutter, cutting board( combo packs available), sewing machine, thread, needles, scisors,fabric-like you said, batting, you could get a quilt book, but with the Internet and all of us here as a resource you may not need a book. Oh and a ruler. Good luck with your list.

It's like baking brownies.

Make sure you have all the tools necessary: recipe, ingredients, pan, spoon, knife to cut nuts, measuring spoons and cups, etc = pattern, fabric [I always buy extra just in case] rotary mat and cutter, rulers, sewing machine & bobbins/or hand work supplies, pins, needles, thread, marking pens, and any organizing items you might need.

You can do it ... just as easy as making brownies ... just takes a bit longer and doesn't add calories.

You should make fabric and pattern interchangeable as this like the question of what comes first - the chicken or the egg.
